Owner Responsibilities
1. Clean the Interior:
- Thoroughly clean all surfaces, floors, and windows.
- Remove any food, perishables, and garbage.
2. Mold and Mildew Prevention:
- Place moisture absorbers or dehumidifiers throughout the cabin.
- Open cabinet doors and hatches to promote air circulation.
- Clean and dry all cushions, mattresses, and upholstery.
3. Check and Secure Dock Lines:
- Inspect and replace any worn or frayed dock lines.
- Securely fasten all lines and add chafe guards as needed.
4. Inspect and Update Safety Equipment:
- Check fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, and carbon monoxide detectors. Replace batteries or units as needed.
- Ensure life jackets and other safety equipment are in good condition.
5. Lock and Secure the Boat:
- Lock all doors, windows, and hatches.
- Consider adding a security system or motion-activated lights.
6. Check for Leaks:
- Inspect windows, hatches, and seams for any leaks. Repair or reseal as necessary.
7. Remove and Store Exterior Items:
- Remove all loose items from the deck, such as chairs, grills, and tables. Store them indoors.
- Remove and store any canvas or fabric covers after cleaning and drying them.
8. Turn Off Electrical Systems:
- Turn off all non-essential electrical systems.
- Unplug appliances and electronics to prevent damage from power surges.
Ticaboo On Lake Service Responsibilities:
1. Protect Plumbing and Water Systems:
- Drain the freshwater tank, hot water heater, and any water lines.
- Add non-toxic antifreeze to the plumbing system, including sinks, toilets, and showers.
- Run antifreeze through all faucets and showers to ensure the system is protected.
2. Prepare Batteries:
- Fully charge the house batteries.
- Test and analyze Batteries - advise owner of needs
- Check electrolyte levels in batteries and top off with distilled water if necessary.- Additional costs apply
3. Winterize water cooled the HVAC System:
- Drain and winterize air conditioning and heating systems.
- Ensure that vents and ducts are free of obstructions.
- Close sea cocks.
4. Winterize the Engines:
- Check any sea strainers for debris.
- Add antifreeze to the engine’s cooling system.
- Close any applicable sea cocks.
5. Winterize the Fuel System:
- Add a fuel stabilizer to the fuel tank and run the engine for a few minutes to circulate it.
6. Inspect Wiring:
- Check engine room for frayed or damaged wiring and repair as needed + Additional labor fees apply
7. Secure Shore Power:
- Ensure the shore power cord is in good condition and secure.
- Double-check all connections for corrosion and tightness.
BOAT OWNER MUST: Update Contact Information:
- Ensure your marina has your updated contact information in case of emergencies.

I authorize the work as indicated above to be done along with necessary materials, and hereby, grant you and/or your employees permission to operate the boat herein described on waterways or elsewhere for the purpose of testing and/or inspection. An express mechanic's lien is hereby acknowledged on the referenced vessel to secure the amount of repairs thereto. A THIRTY (30) DAY WARRANTY is given on all work performed. All corrections to work performed must be evaluated and repaired by us in cases where a warranty claim is submitted. This warranty is VOID in cases where the work performed has been altered or tampered with in any way. We are not responsible for loss or damage to boats, motors or articles left in boats in case of fire, theft, accident, inclement weather or any other cause beyond our control.
I, the undersigned, being the registered owner of the vessel, and with the consent of the other owner(s), if any, of the vessel described below, authorize Ticaboo On Lake Service hereafter referred to as TOLS, to operate the vessel and its systems for the purpose of caretaking (including but not limited to: piloting for refueling or pump out, cleaning, etc). I understand the costs. Additional fees may be added based on extra services required. I further understand that TOLS will not accept responsibility or liability for damage that may result from TOLS's efforts to provide caretaking services of said vessel, with the exception of damages that occur from gross negligence on the part of TOLS or its employees. I, the owner, waive any claims against TOLS for such damage. I further agree that TOLS may proceed with such efforts with the understanding that it is at the owner's risk of damage whether risk is foreseen or unforeseen. I also understand that TOLS reserves the right to refuse to service of said vessel if TOLS determines it is in a damaged condition or could cause a spill of fuel or other environmental contamination to the environment. I also agree that the scheduled time and date is subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen events.
