Owner Responsibilities
1. Clean the Interior:
- Thoroughly clean all surfaces, floors, and windows.
- Remove any food, perishables, and garbage.
2. Mold and Mildew Prevention:
- Place moisture absorbers or dehumidifiers throughout the cabin.
- Open cabinet doors and hatches to promote air circulation.
- Clean and dry all cushions, mattresses, and upholstery.
3. Check and Secure Dock Lines:
- Inspect and replace any worn or frayed dock lines.
- Securely fasten all lines and add chafe guards as needed.
4. Inspect and Update Safety Equipment:
- Check fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, and carbon monoxide detectors. Replace batteries or units as needed.
- Ensure life jackets and other safety equipment are in good condition.
5. Lock and Secure the Boat:
- Lock all doors, windows, and hatches.
- Consider adding a security system or motion-activated lights.
6. Check for Leaks:
- Inspect windows, hatches, and seams for any leaks. Repair or reseal as necessary.
7. Remove and Store Exterior Items:
- Remove all loose items from the deck, such as chairs, grills, and tables. Store them indoors.
- Remove and store any canvas or fabric covers after cleaning and drying them.
8. Turn Off Electrical Systems:
- Turn off all non-essential electrical systems.
- Unplug appliances and electronics to prevent damage from power surges.
Ticaboo On Lake Service Responsibilities:
1. Protect Plumbing and Water Systems:
- Drain the freshwater tank, hot water heater, and any water lines.
- Pneumatically blow out the plumbing system, including sinks, toilets, and showers.
- Run antifreeze through all faucets and showers to ensure the system is protected.
2. Prepare Batteries:
- Fully charge the house batteries.
- Test and analyze Batteries - advise owner of needs
- Check electrolyte levels in batteries and top off with distilled water if necessary.- Additional costs apply
3. Winterize water cooled the HVAC System:
- Drain and winterize air conditioning and heating systems.
- Ensure that vents and ducts are free of obstructions.
- Close sea cocks.
4. Winterize the Engines:
- Check any sea strainers for debris.
- Add antifreeze to the engine’s cooling system.
- Close any applicable sea cocks.
5. Winterize the Fuel System:
- Add a fuel stabilizer to the fuel tank and run the engine for a few minutes to circulate it.
6. Inspect Wiring:
- Check engine room for frayed or damaged wiring and repair as needed + Additional labor fees apply
7. Secure Shore Power:
- Ensure the shore power cord is in good condition and secure.
- Double-check all connections for corrosion and tightness.
